Awarded to juniors, seniors, and members of undergraduate graduation class from the past year for attaining the top 2 percent in cumulative undergraduate academic standing by school.

Student Academic Honor Societies

  • Golden Key International Honour Society—Recognizes the top 15 percent of the junior and senior classes.
  • Phi Beta Kappa—For superior scholastic achievement in undergraduate programs in the arts and sciences.
  • Phi Eta Sigma—An honor society promoting academic excellence in which students of high ideals find companionship and fellowship. Open to freshmen who rank in the upper 20 percent of their class.

Student Leadership Awards and Honor Societies

  • Alpha Sigma Lambda – For scholarship, leadership, and service.
  • Nordenberg Leadership Scholars Program – To provide a cohort of intellectually gifted and highly motivated student leaders with the resources to complete an exceptionally rich collegiate experience with opportunities for continued academic achievement, leadership development, civic engagement, and real-world experiences with organizations and corporations in the Pittsburgh region.
  • Omicron Delta Kappa – For meritorious leadership in extracurricular activities, superior scholarship, and general campus citizenship, with emphasis on the development of the whole person, both as a member of the college community and as a prospective contributor to a better society.
  • Nationality Room Scholarships for Study Abroad – To enrich the international dimension of students by affording opportunities to live and study in other cultures.
  • Outside the Classroom Curriculum Pitt Advantage Grant 2016 Recipients – For undergraduate students who have completed OCC with financial assistance for study abroad experience, an unpaid  internship, or a service learning project.
  • Stamps Scholarship – For outstanding students from Pennsylvania and supported by the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation to help them pursue their career and education goals and fulfill a set of expectations focus on leadership, fostering global perspective, service, and career development.
